You will see on all of our menus that we have researched and matched beers to each dish. We believe that we are first and foremost a temple to all things beer and therefore these amazing products should be given pride of place alongside our delicious dishes. Sometimes dishes will be matched to our ever changing guest beers and sometimes to our extensive selection of craft brewed bottles.
But why two different dining areas? Firstly we wanted to ensure that the history and atmosphere so famous at the Red Lion was not changed. In our view too many pubs are changing completely into country restaurants.
Whilst we understand the reasons behind this,we believe that we are lucky enough, with the layout of the building, to be able to offer both relaxed, informal proper homemade pub food and slightly more elegant modern British dishes in the appropriate settings. Hence the decision to keep the two dining areas separate by giving them different names.
